 Musicians, acrobats, vendors, tourists and locals fill Mallory Square every night of the year to watch some of the most spectacular sunsets in the world. Food, Drinks and handmade arts and crafts are available for purchase. Performers and vendors generally set up about an hour before sunset. Don't forget your camera, and linger a few moments since some of the most beautiful colors are after the sun goes down.

 One of the best ways to see and learn about the island of Key West is the world famous Conch Tour Train. This 90 minute ride through the streets of old town leaves you free to see and enjoy the atmosphere our unique island paradise. History and great storytelling have made this tour of the island world famous.

| Historic Fort Jefferson and the Dry Tortugas |
|
 Seventy miles west of Key West lay the 7 islands that make up the Dry Tortugas. First discovered by Ponce De Leon in 1513 during his search for the Fountain of Youth, this national park is home to Fort Jefferson, one of the largest coastal fortresses ever built. Accessible by ferry or sea plane, this is a wonderful day trip for both history and nature lovers.

Key West is famous for its laid back atmosphere, culture, history, and Duval Street. Here are a few helpful hints to consider before your visit.
Wear plenty of sunscreen. Since we are closer to the equator than any city in the continental US the UV rays are much more intense in Key West.
Drink plenty of water. It's very easy to get dehydrated by too much sun, exercise or consumption of alcohol.
