email metrics

Our reporting software for e-mail has created two proprietary rating systems that enable clients to gauge the effectiveness of their mailings and the quality of their lists. They are called the Mailing Effectiveness Index™ and List Quality Index™.  A bad score doesn't necessarily mean the e-mail has not been effective or generated sales or leads, but it is a good measure of what could be improved. Call us 970-927-7081 to find out more about your reporting and to request a full service reporting account.

Mailing Effectiveness IndexTM (MEI)
This index gauges the success and effectiveness of a particular mailing. The higher the score, the better the mailing. The number of opens and click throughs of a mailing will increase the score, and the number of unsubscribes and spam complaints will decrease the score. This index calculation is based on the following:

 # of messages opened
 # of messages with click throughs
 # of unsubscribes after receiving this message
 # of spam complaints in response to this message
 # of referrals (if applicable)

Lowest Possible Index: 0
Highest Possible Index: 200
EmailLabs Average Index: 100

List Quality IndexTM (LQI)
This index gauges the quality of a particular list. The higher the score, the better quality of the list. Every time a mailing is sent out, a corresponding LQI is calculated at that time. This provides clients the ability to see the quality of their list change over time. The number of opens of a mailing will increase the score, and the number of bounces and spam complaints will decrease the score. The EmailLabs average index is 100. This index calculation is based on the following:

 # of messages opened
 # of bounces
 # of spam complaints in response to this message

Lowest Possible Index: 50
Highest Possible Index: 150
EmailLabs Average Index: 100
