Botany Bay Google Earth/Flash Video Tour

Recently, the Timbers Resorts asked us to help them showcase a luxury property development in Botany Bay, St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands. We were asked to create a virtual tour of the island and the development plans for the resort. We hit the basement and developed a very cool map using the Google Earth tools and integrating Flash and advanced video editing to make this tour useable for all types of marketing and showcasing puroses.

We invite you to watch the Botany Bay Google Video Tour, a collection of satellite images, site plans and still photography which showcase the seclusion, beauty and pristine nature of The Preserve at Botany Bay.

On The Road Again

This past week our sales team attended the Ragatz Associates Fractional Interest Conference in San Francisco, CA. We had the opportunity to meet some great people and fantastic companies. The market for Private Residence Clubs and Fractional Real Estate is continuing to grow. We recognize the need for many of these emerging developments to have a strong, proven and professional internet marketing team behind them. We appreciate and welcome the opportunity. Thanks to all the companies that stopped by our display table, we look forward to helping you “Win on the Web!"

Gaining Traffic, Retaining Traffic & Increasing Site Conversions

As a marketer, it goes without saying that your ultimate goal is to achieve a high ROI on all of your marketing initiatives–including your online channels–the most transparent and measurable of marketing methods. Essentially, there are two basic approaches to increasing your site conversions:

  1. Increase the amount of traffic coming into your site, or
  2. Increase the number conversions through site enhancement

Simply understanding the important difference between gaining traffic and retaining traffic can have a large effect on your internet marketing strategy moving forward.

The most common approach (#1) is for clients to come to us seeking more unique site visitors, and thus more business. We’ll implement a search marketing strategy that focuses on short- and long-term results by pairing an aggressive paid search marketing campaign along with organic site optimization. Within three to six months our search marketing program has often successfully captured those coveted new site visitors–but are they converting?

Which brings us to the often neglected approach (#2). Gaining a high volume of new traffic is essentially worthless if your site causes those visitors to bounce (by hitting the back button). The next critical step is to be acutely aware of how your visitors interact with your site by implementing a comprehensive web analytics program such as Google Analytics. This will allow you to analyze your site’s conversion path, refine the user experience, retain new site visitors, and ultimately increase conversions. You may even want to consider making this approach the first priority.

As you probably know, your data is only as good as the person analyzing it. Which is precisely why you work closely with a dedicated search account manager to help you drill down into your site performance metrics, segment your online marketing channels, and determine the best course of action for the future.

Introducing Vertical Media Travel Guides

Do you remember your first purchase on Expedia or Travelocity? For me it was great. I was able to control departure times, research various airports and book the hotel I needed all from home. Then one time I had a cancellation and couldn't reach my hotel directly. Then there was the time the hotel was over booked, and plenty of times where I had no idea about where I was going. Imagine being able to plan, research and book all your travel needs but the website used provides all the local information one could want? Welcome to Vertical Media travel guides.

Vertical Media publishes area travel guides for some of the best destinations in the Rocky Mountains. The travel guides are an online marketplace to learn about an area and plan a vacation by easily contacting the local businesses that provide what the traveler needs. The visitor who uses Vertical Media is more satisfied, too. By using the travel guide to contact individual businesses, the customer is more educated in their decisions and more likely to purchase directly with a property or activity provider.

What about the advertisers? They are satisfied, because promoting on Vertical Media travel guides is more effective than many paid search avenues and the cost is lower. This model has proven success because visitors who click to area businesses are pre-qualified. Vertical Media offers performance guarantees, special introductory pricing and hands on assistance in monitoring the results. Visit VerticalMedia.com to learn more and get your advertising campaign started in no time.

A Google Map Is Worth A Million Words

One of the most useful tools to integrate into any real estate or vacation rental website is Google Maps. It's a quick and easy way to improve your site content over your competition's.

We can either import the map directly into your existing site design, or link to it externally in a pop-up window. The maps feature all of the functionality of the standard Google Maps application including the ability to zoom, display street names, satellite and hybrid views. Most importantly, these maps allow the user to quickly and easily identify the property location.

Take a moment to see for yourself by clicking on the "Show Map" link above the main photo on this Mason Morse Property Listing.
