Featured Destination - Ali'i Kula Lavender Farm

Take a day to relax and enjoy a feast for the senses at the Ali'i Kula Lavender Farm (808) 878-3004.

Located just a half hour from the Kahului airport, this beautifully maintained property is home to 45 different types of Lavender and is Maui's only lavender farm. Upcountry Kula, Maui is a peaceful and serene place to take some time away from the heat and hustle and bustle of some of Maui's busier areas.

Experience something different and take home something yummy. The gallery gift shop features some of the most delicious products you will ever experience. Taste culinary products, and try on everything from lavender essential oil to lavender scented sunscreen. Have Pets? Try out the Lavender Pet Shampoo! Sprawling gardens, picturesque views, and the scent of Lavender will soothe the soul.

Tours and culinary luncheons are available daily. If a tour is not your “cup of Lavender Tea” cruise on up and walk the grounds at your own pace. Try a Lavender scone and while you are at it…grab one for your trip back to town. Hours of operation are 9 am to 4 pm.

Serpico's Pizzeria in Pukalani - We keep trying to get everyone here in our office to try this place but so far it's only been recommended by one lone pizza lover. Fresh ingredients and a fun open atmosphere make Serpico's the best casual eatery in the Upcountry area. If you are on your way back from Haleakala or you are making a day of a cruise up to Maui's cooler climate this summer please do stop by and say hi to the gang at Serpico's. You will not be sorry… in fact, you will thank us! Call 808 572-8498.

E & O Trading Company - Yummy ethnic foods.  Located in the Lahaina Cannery Mall, this unsuspecting restaurant boasts flavors from the South East.  The Asian Grill style and unique décor of this spacious yet cozy eatery has quickly made its mark on the West side of the island.  One of the local people we spoke to said, "It was great to be in a restaurant where we felt as if we were ‘fine dining' in San Francisco on the inside, but walked out side to palm trees and warm beautiful weather."  We invite you to call them for reservations 808-667-1818.

Dante's Italian Eatery in the Lahaina Cannery Mall - This is food for family and fun. So we are on an Italian Food kick friends. One of our reservationists knows the chef and is sure this will be a restaurant that will make a lasting impression. Pasta dishes come in half and whole orders, pizza dough is home-made, and the prices won't break your bank. The operating hours are great and hey, they deliver! So if you can't make it upcountry, try them out 808-661-3838.

What to Pack

Here is a list of those items you will not want to forget. We suggest packing once a couple days ahead of your departure, then the night before take out anything you really aren't sure you will actually need…. like those extra dress shoes!

While on Maui

Sunbathe, swim and snorkel at Airport Beach (head South on Hwy. 30 from Kahana and turn right on Kai Ala Dr. Park in the lot ahead) Shop on Front Street in Lahaina Towne Take a sunset walk on world famous Kaanapali Beach Visit the Maui Ocean Center Pack a picnic and walk into the Iao Valley Enjoy Art Night in downtown Lahaina on Friday nights Shop at the Craft Faire on Sundays at the Lahaina Civic Center from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
