List Your Business on Yahoo! Local and Google Local.
It's FREE and it's EASY.
Get Listed on Yahoo! Local:
Yahoo! Local helps you find businesses in your neighborhood and beyond (think
of the Yellow Pages online). It gives you the names and phone numbers of local
services and businesses, and it also shows you information related to them.
For instance, you'll get the name and address of a local restaurant, the time
it opens, whether it accepts Visa, and maybe even how helpful the wait staff
is.
Go to Yahoo!
Local and add
your business. To access Yahoo! Local simply go to www.yahoo.com and
hit the "Local" tab.
Get Listed on Google Local:
Google Local gathers business information from numerous websites, Yellow Pages
directories, and other sources to populate Google Local search results. With
the large amount of information Google is currently managing, it's possible
that they haven't yet found your business listing. If you'd like to expedite
things, you can easily enter your information into their online Local Business
Center for free. Here's how:
Go to the Google Local Business Center
If you already have a Google Account, sign-in with your email and password.
If you don't have a Google Account, click "Sign up for an account now."
Follow the instructions to create a listing.
Please note the following:
The street address you enter will display in the Google Local search results.
If you have an AdWords login, it won't work with Google Local. You'll need
to create a Google Account to log in.
Once you've submitted your business information, you can verify your information
with either a touch-tone phone or a PIN that will be sent to your business
address. Once the listing is verified, your information should appear in our
results in about six weeks.
You'll need to be able to receive mail at your business address if you are
unable to verify by phone.
The Local Business Center is only available for businesses in the United States,
Canada, the UK, China, and Japan.
