| ASPEN'S CHRIS KLUG GOES TO THE WINTER GAMES! |
As you may have heard, HE DID IT AGAIN! Chris Klug — Aspen Square's own snowboard racer — has been named to the U.S. Team and will be competing in Vancouver in the Alpine Snowboard event on Saturday, February 27. We are proud of him! Chris won a medal in Salt Lake in 2002.
Chris is in Vancouver now. He participated in the Opening Ceremony and is now training, preparing for his February 27 event.
Yes, Chris is the son of Aspen Square General Manager Warren Klug, and currently on the World Cup Tour for snowboard racing, competing internationally. A liver transplant recipient 9 years ago, Chris is also an ambassador for organ and tissue donation awareness. He started the Chris Klug Foundation in 2004, which is dedicated to promoting lifesaving donation and improving the quality of life for donors, donor families, organ transplant candidates and recipients.
We know many Aspen Square friends are aware of Chris and his story, and are watching for his performance at Vancouver's Cypress Mountain on February 27. Click here for a recent story about Chris on PBS.
