Cutbacks
And I'm not talking about the surfing variety ...
Lately, we're seeing some pretty consistent cutbacks in our client's marketing budgets. Whether it's a reduction in service or a drop in service, as we've seen with several search clients this week, it's now more important than ever to focus on consistent client communication, to identify and emphasize the program's value, and to redouble efforts at strengthening the client relationship.
This especially applies to accounts that may not realize the value of their program, or hear from their project manager very often. It's also a reminder to stay focused on the results (ROI) of our client's marketing efforts whenever possible. Any marketing initiative that we can prove a solid ROI, we shouldn't have to worry about. Any other marketing initiative could find itself on the chopping block.
Let's keep the cutbacks where they belong - on the waves!
